It is illegal to buy, keep, or sell a monkey as a pet in Florida. However, you can own a monkey if you are a licensed zoo, circus, or federally recognized animal sanctuary. In such cases, you may be able to obtain a monkey from a established wildlife manager or from a licensed wild animal breeding facility.
