The monkey pox vaccine was created in the early 2000s. Developed in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, two separate vaccines were created, the first being developed in the United States in 2000, and the second, an upgraded version, developed in 200 The original vaccine had a variable effectiveness rate which the research suggested was between 70 and 100%.
The second, upgraded version proved to be more effective, and is currently recommended by the World Health Organisation.
