edKing Louie is an orangutan. In the 1967 Disney animated movie “The Jungle Book”, King Louie is the leader of the pack of monkeys at the “Peace Rock”. He is the only orangutan in the film and he is seen many times dancing and singing with Mowgli, the main character.

He is also often referred to as the “King of the Apes” due to his large size and intimidating demeanor. His distinctive mixture of orange fur and white or yellow facial hair makes him easily recognizable.
