It is difficult to give an exact answer as to the IQ of a monkey as IQ is a human-only concept and cannot be easily applied to animals. However, based on studies conducted in the field of animal cognition, monkeys are thought to posses cognitive abilities equivalent to a 3-5 year old human child. Therefore, based on the accepted ‘normal’ range of IQ scores (90-110), it would be reasonable to assume that the IQ of a monkey would fall somewhere in this range.
