Monkey Pox is a rare viral disease that is similar to human smallpox. It is caused by the monkey pox virus, which is closely related to the vaccinia virus used in smallpox vaccinations. Although monkeypox is a milder form of smallpox, it can still cause a serious, sometimes fatal, illness in humans.
Symptoms of monkeypox include fever, headache, back and abdominal pain, and a skin rash. The most severe cases require hospitalization, and there is no specific treatment or vaccine currently available.
