A Flying Monkey is a term used in psychology to describe certain individuals who act on behalf of an individual with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) in order to take revenge on someone else. These individuals typically act with malicious intent and emotional manipulation and are often unaware that they are being used by the NPD individual as a pawn for their own personal gain. They are referred to as “Flying Monkeys” in modern psychology because of the way they are used to do the “dirty work” for the person with NPD.
