Black Spider Monkeys primarily feed on fruits, but they will also eat flowers, leaves, tree bark, and insects. They are also known to eat some bird eggs and small animals such as lizards and frogs. Spider monkeys are known to forage in trees or travel in groups in search of food.
They seldom come to the ground, where they are much more vulnerable to predators.
