As of 8th October 2020, there have been a total of 124 confirmed cases of Monkeypox in the United States since 200 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported that the number of cases has remained low in recent years, with only a handful of cases per year. The highest number of cases was reported in 2003 when there were more than 150 monkeypox cases reported throughout the United States.
The last reported cases of monkeypox in the US occurred in 2018 – primarily in the Midwest region.
