It can also be contracted through contact with the monkey pox virus through contact with an infected individual’s respiratory secretions, such as saliva or mucus, through contact with contaminated bedding or clothing, or through contact with infected skin lesions. The virus can also be acquired through a bite from an infected animal or through exposure to an infected animal’s blood or other body fluids.
People can also get monkey pox through contact with materials from an infected animal, such as a fur, claws, eye secretions, or feces.
